While
we do not have the resources to provide individual legal representation to every
caller, we are truly committed in providing accurate disability-related legal
information and advice to more individuals who need our services and
assistance. In addition to limited legal representation, our goal is to
provide efficient, streamlined services to educate people with disabilities
and their family members on how to enforce their legal rights through self
advocacy. Our self advocacy guides and
other disability-related documents can be found on this website by selecting
the Self-Advocacy Materials button from our home page.
Some problems can be resolved over the telephone, while others require
the help of an advocate or lawyer.
Demand for legal assistance greatly exceeds our available staff. Assistance is only provided for
disability-related issues in established priority areas. The Center does not charge for services.
